Scanner?

I still strongly believe that I am a much better artist when I work on paper, than when I work digitally. We have a scanner downstairs, but it's a pain to use it because it only connects to the desktop next to it and I doubt it will hook up to my mac... This is only a consideration and I might very well never even do something along these lines. 
Anyway, just food for thought~ :>
