BLOODBIRD

So this is one of three images that I made for an art project at school. This piece I collaborated with photographs and a skull sketch from a good friend of mine that was in our group. Our project was to make a false website about... well... anything. So our group invented a deceased artist who had multiple personality disorder and a charity that was founded in his name. If you all are interested in the website, please let me know and I will Note you the link, because the website IS not true and we don't want to have any problems~ ^^

The bird alone took 5 hours, the rest of it.... probably another 5 hours--and I'm taking a guess. I also didn't use any references for the bird, and I half based it on a fletchling from Pokemon and a house finch (which also have red heads. My bird got its red head from eating something gory though, hence the drop of blood down by its feet. I really like how this one turned out, and I really want to thank my good friend for letting me use the skull sketch she had, it was just what I needed for this picture. Anyways I hope you all like it~!
